Youtube & The Rowlett Blog = Online Council Meetings??

Using the library and some open source programs along with Youtube I was able to upload the May 31st council meeting on the web. It’s broken up into segments so that it can fit in the 10min limit by YouTube. There is no editing involved. It took me about 1 hour to cut up and upload the videos. If it would be of interest to anyone I can look into making them iPod friendly so you can watch them when and where you want to.

Can you really lead prayer in a public building before a public service. I’m certainly not against it, but aren’t there those who will be? Isn’t that setting themselves up for controversy?

I’m not sure if they do it before every meeting. This was a special meeting for the swearing in of the new Mayor and council so they’d be swearing on a bible anyways.
I for one prefer a complete separation of church and state. But I’m not so strict in my beliefs that I’d take the “one nation under God” out of the pledge…..

I’m with you Rowlettian. And it’s probably just a matter of time before someone files a complaint about being sworn in with a Bible.
